Clearwater Christian College won the NCCAA II South Region Championship, defeating Point University 1-0 in front of a huge crowd of Cougar supporters at Glen Oaks Park. The Cougars will advance to the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida, on November 9-12.

Anthony DeRosse of Brandon, FL was a member of the 2011 Championship team. DeRosse is a junior Bible major and is a goalkeeper for the Cougars. DeRosse was also named to the First Team All-Region. DeRosse is a graduate of Ruskin Christian School in Ruskin, FL and the son of Susan DeRosse of Brandon, FL.

The South Region Championship was the third straight for the Cougars and will allow them to advance to the NCCAA National Tournament where they will go for their third straight national championship. The Cougars will be the #5 seed and will face #4 Manhattan Christian College.

Located on a 138-acre property on Tampa Bay, Clearwater Christian College is home to over 500 undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a distinct Christian education in a traditional liberal arts environment.
