Clearwater Christian College won the NCCAA II South Region Championship, defeating Point University 1-0 in front of a huge crowd of Cougar supporters at Glen Oaks Park. The Cougars will advance to the NCCAA National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida, on November 9-12.

Blake Marshall of Crestview, FL was a member of the 2011 Championship team. Marshall is a freshman Physical Education major and is a midfielder for the Cougars. Marshall is a graduate of Calvary Christian School in Fort Walton Beach, FL and the son of Darren and Barbara Marshall of Crestview, FL.

The South Region Championship was the third straight for the Cougars and will allow them to advance to the NCCAA National Tournament where they will go for their third straight national championship. The Cougars will be the #5 seed and will face #4 Manhattan Christian College.

Located on a 138-acre property on Tampa Bay, Clearwater Christian College is home to over 500 undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a distinct Christian education in a traditional liberal arts environment.
